The term "tropical paradise" may be overused these days, but NAMENALALA ISLAND truly is an environmentalists utopia. Very little of this dramatically beautiful, 110 acre, dragon-shaped private island has been touched by development. The island is essentially a giant nature preserve of towering trees, virgin palm-swept beaches . and absolute seclusion.
It is easy to understand how our visitors can feel a bit like Robinson Crusoes; there are fully six white sand beaches around the island, and finding someone elses footsteps in the sand, is very rare indeed.
Hiking trails cross the island where one can visit rock ruins of an ancient culture, explore remote beaches or birdwatch.
In the photo above, the long white beach to the far right at the tail of our dragon-shaped island, is the only area we have developed for the resort.
